What is XBRL?

XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is a ‘machine readable’ format for financial reporting. All significant facts within a quarterly or annual report are assigned a standardized tag for input into a computing process. Since 2011 XBRL has been mandated for use by all U.S. public companies by the SEC. We have about 9,500 entites in our database.
